  • β€˜Stacie Hobbs was a treat as the adorably flustered Miss Prism. Completely transformed by her self-made wig, tweedy costume, and impressively aged-up makeup, she threw herself into the role with perfectly tuned nervous energy. Paired with Damien Quick as the wonderfully awkward Reverend Chasuble, the duo brought a sweetly repressed tension to their scenes… Together, they portrayed the awkward elderly flirtation so well, I almost forgot they weren’t actually pensioners.’

β€˜β€˜Legally Blonde’ has some stand-out performances. Stacie Hobbs as the pink-clad, bubbly lead is perfect. She is convincing as Elle Woods, and has the strong, clear voice to headline the musical.’

β€˜Stacie Hobbs, as the pooch-loving sorority-sister carried the show. Blonde, perky and talented are the requirements and Hobbs had it in spades, belting out β€œPositive”, β€œSo Much Better” and the title tune like a pop-princess.’

β€˜From the moment she steps on stage selling flowers in Covent Garden, grimy and enrobed in a tatty dress, Hobbs embodies Eliza. Whether she’s struggling to make a living on the streets or matching wits with Professor Higgins, the audience was captivated. From the wistful Wouldn’t it be Loverley? to the delightful I Could Have Danced All Night, vocally Hobbs can mix it with the best, and often has.’

β€˜The supporting cast were a joy: Stacie Hobbs as Mae felt so at home in the role I had to wonder if she’d done this show before…’

Stacie Hobbs was a powerhouse as super-bitch Amber Von Tussle… The three girls (with their mothers) ate up the trio β€œMama I’m a Big Girl Now”.

β€˜[Stacie] too puts in a gutsy performance and quickly wins audience sympathies.’

β€˜As Carrie Pipperidge, Stacie Hobbs lovingly documented what her life would be like after marriage with β€œMister Snow” and was amusingly parental in β€œWhen the Children Are Asleep”’
