SUNCORP/LANG PARK RESTRICTIONS

Please see detailed arrival and parking information for the days where these restrictions are in place. Preparing beforehand will ensure a smooth arrival and no fines.

Lang Park Parking Restriction Zone

Ad Astra is now located within the Lang Park Parking Restriction Zone. Petrie Terrace and all close side streets fall under this restriction and heavy fines apply. However, it is easy to get to the theatre with a little advance planning.

Ad Astra tries its best to manouvre around major events at Suncorp to assist with making sure that there is ample parking available. However, there are times when a performance, event or workshop coincides with a game or event at the stadium.

Tip: Always check here to see if restrictions apply, and check our EVENT DAY ARRIVAL options, before travelling to Ad Astra on these days.

Event Day Alternative Arrival

If you are driving to Ad Astra on an event day, please park in the open air carpark in the Roma Street Parklands. Enter from Wickham Terrace or Gregory Terrace into Parklands Boulevard. Please note if you are coming from the West you cannot turn right into Roma Street Parklands from College Road. You will need to turn into Gregory Terrace or continue on to Wickham Terrace and make your way back to the intersection.

Once on Parkland Boulevard look for Parkland Crescent on the right and then another right into College Clos where the carpark is located.

Do not take the rain forest exit, instead walk through the carpark exit and up College Close and take the bikeway. At the end of the path, take the stairs or ramp to College Road.

Turn left towards Normanby Fiveways. Cross the road using the traffic lights to the west and then on the other side of the fiveways, turn left, you are now on Petrie Terrace and the theatre is an easy two block walk.

Tip: Set up the CellOPark app on your phone before your arrival to pay for parking. There is also a pay machine at the rotunda near the rain forest walk entrance.

Lang Park Event Day Arrival

Fifteen minute parking limits apply in the zone for drop off and pick up commencing from two hours before Gates Open time through to the conclusion of the game, unless otherwise signed. Please be aware that On-the-spot fines can be issued and are around $120.

Gates Open times for games vary and can be found on Suncorp Stadium/Lang Park Event page.

Tip: Catch public transport or if you don’t mind a walk, park in Roma Street Parklands but leave 30 minutes once you arrive to park, pay and walk so you are not late.

Public Transport

On event days, if at all possible, travelling by public transport will assist in getting you to our theatre with very little hassle.

Normanby Bus Interchange

If you are travelling by bus, please get off at the Normanby Bus Station and walk to theatre, 10 minutes, fairly flat (350m). This option is ideal from many suburbs around Brisbane, but always check the timetable for your return time.

Please check routes that arrive into this station here.

Roma Street Train Station

If you are travelling by train, please get off at Roma Street Station and walk to theatre, 15 minutes, slightly uphill (700m). There is also a lift if you go via The Barracks Centre taking you from station street level to Petrie Terrace level. The train is ideal if you are travelling from the Gold Coast, but always check the timetable for your return time.

Please check routes that arrive into this station here.

Tip: All public transport in Queensland is currently 50c at the moment so it is a great way to travel!
