Teddy Waddingham is a multi-disciplinary technical designer and stage manager based in Meanjin. With a focus on designing for contemporary theatre and experimental performance, Teddy’s design practice spans across lighting and vision. As a stage manager, Teddy has worked alongside Queensland Theatre, La Boite, Brisbane Powerhouse, Dark Mofo, Brisbane Festival and Playlab. Teddy is passionate about using their skills in collaboration with fellow emerging artists and uplifting the dynamic art scene in Meanjin.

Teddy Waddingham (they/them) is a multi-disciplinary technical artist and stage manager based in Meanjin.
With a particular focus on designing for contemporary theatre and experimental performance, Teddy’s practice spans across lighting and vision design. As a lighting designer, they have collaborated with JMC Academy, PIP Theatre and Backbone Youth Arts, and as vision designer for Observatory Theatre and Velvet Collective. In 2026, Teddy will be joining the creative team of Yeah Nah Theatre’s debut production of Lucky by Liam Lowth as a part of Queensland Theatre’s door 3 program.
Teddy has worked in stage management positions alongside Queensland Theatre, La Boite, Dark Mofo, Brisbane Festival and Playlab. Teddy is a part of the stage management team at Brisbane Powerhouse, working across events including Brisbane Comedy Festival, Melt Festival and Brisbane Writers Festival.
They are in their final year of study at QUT, obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Technical Production). Teddy is passionate about using their skills in collaboration with fellow emerging artists to uplift the dynamic art scene in Meanjin.
