Frankie Kershaw is a Meanjin based emerging actor. In 2016, she participated in the Premiere Program in Orlando Florida, discovering her love for acting. Came back and focused on her love for sport before returning to acting and receiving her Bachelors in Screen and Stage (Acting) from APAC.

  • Frankie recently graduated with a Bachelor of Screen and Stage (Acting) from the Australia Performing Arts Conservatory based in Meanjin.  Eager to apply her training within professional film, television, and theatre environments. Throughout her studies, she developed a strong foundation in presence, character development, ensemble collaboration, and performance across both stage and screen. She is known for a magnetic on-stage energy, driven by a deep commitment to engineering fully realised, authentic characters, as well as a compelling on-screen presence, with expressive eyes that draw audiences into the emotional world of her performances.

    During her second last trimester, she performed as the lead actor in the short film Proteans, directed by Mirko Grillini, demonstrating emotional depth and screen sensitivity. In the same period, they also took on the lead role in the stage production The Receptionist, directed by Heidi Gledhill, showcasing versatility and a strong connection with live audiences. She has since recently appeared in the short film The Disappearance of Sophie Foster, directed by Natasha Stone, which was pre-selected for Tropfest. Across her time at APAC, she has participated in multiple stage productions, further refining her range and commitment to craft.

    Alongside academic training, they have built practical industry experience through a variety of paid performance roles. These include role-playing for the Queensland Fire Department, delivering interactive performances for primary school audiences in the Pop Up Game Show with Small Crown Productions, and appearing in training videos for a childcare centre in Queensland.

    They bring professionalism, adaptability, and a strong work ethic to every project, and are committed to continuing their growth as a performer while contributing meaningfully to creative productions.
