Yianni Sines is a Greek-Australian actor, writer, and producer working across film, theatre, and new media. He trained at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), and has performed in lead roles in independent films and stage productions in Australia, the US, and the UK.
As a screen actor, Yianni has starred in a range of short and feature films including A Boy Like Me, BILL, The Unsaid, Hart, and Alto Ave., often gravitating towards psychologically complex, emotionally driven characters. His theatre work includes lead performances in Uncle Vanya (NYU Tisch), The Catamite, The Encounter, and Lord of the Flies.
Alongside acting, Yianni develops original projects as a writer and producer, with a particular interest in queer storytelling, genre, and surreal or heightened narrative forms. His work frequently explores identity, intimacy, and the ways people perform versions of themselves. He is currently developing new film and theatre projects, including the stage play The Body of Christ and the animated series In the Bush Between.
