Nicholas Hargreaves
Writer, Producer
Nicholas Hargreaves is a Meanjin/Brisbane based writer and composer specialising in musical theatre. Nicholas is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama) and Secondary Education at QUT.
He wrote the original musical Mayhem in June (premiered 2024 at BTG) and Flight! (finalist for QWC's 2024 Stageable award).

Nicholas Hargreaves is a Meanjin/Brisbane based writer and composer specialising in musical theatre. He wrote the Book and Score the original musical Mayhem in June which debuted in 2024 as part of the Beenleigh Theatre Group's Fringe Season which support from Arts Queensland's Regional Arts Development Fund.
He has also written the new musical Flight! which was shortlisted for the Queensland Writers Centre’s 2024 Stageable program. Nicholas is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama) and Secondary Education at QUT.
He is a passionate educator and has worked at Shake & Stir as an Instructor for their Primary Classes and Holiday Workshops since 2023. In his own practice, he also composed “Fanfare of the Bells” which was a finalist for Artology's 2022 Fanfare Competition and “Free Fire” as part of Topology's 2019 Composition Bootcamp program.
He was Observational Director for Avenue Q (BTG, 2023); Musical Director for Finding Nemo Jr (BTG, 2023) and Shakespeare in Love (BTG, 2024); Vocal Director for Shakespeare in Love (SPLC, 2024) and Strictly Ballroom (BTG, 2024); and Director for Mayhem in June (BTG, 2024).
