Actor
Shirley is a passionate actor, singer and writer, passionate especially for live theatre. Shirley, a late but enthusiastic starter, has performed in several plays over the last few years and is delighted to be part of this beautiful Australian play with an amazing team of creative talents.

Shirley has always been passionate about the arts and performance and has engaged in a range of cultural activities across the decades from classical dance to political street theatre, community theatre and song. Shirley is the owner/manager of “Shirley’s”, a creative space for artists: supporting emerging and established artists in an intimate space.
Shirley started her theatre journey with Sunnybank Theatre Group in late 2022 with a role in “The Calendar Girls” for which she was a finalist for Best Supporting Actress in the 2022 Golden Palm Awards. Since then, she has performed with PIP Theatre, Sunnybank Theatre Group, Growl Theatre and Brisbane Arts Theatre.
Shirley took a small break from performance to embark on her Bachelor of Acting (Stage and Screen) and now that it is close to completion, she is delighted to return to the stage in this beautiful, thoughtful Australian play in her first production with Ad Astra. Shirley is relishing her role as Marge, lover of Australian literature and uncompromising feminist.

“As is often the case … there is a variety of on-stage talent on show. Of note, Moran conveys great comic physicality in her dishevelled emergence from the shenanigans of Act One where, exasperated to the point of hysterics, Veta tries to have Elwood committed … resulting in some classic comedy moments of misunderstanding.”
