Her credits include More Than Tea and Scones, Shadows from the Past, short films, and True Story with Hamish and Andy. A former radio presenter and creator, she brings versatility, humour, and depth to character-driven storytelling across mediums.

Sarah Speller is a versatile Australian performer whose career spans theatre, screen, and radio, with a particular passion for character-driven storytelling. With over two decades of experience, she has brought to life a wide array of roles across Queensland stages, independent films, and broadcast media.
A long-time collaborator with companies such as Box Jelly Theatre Co and Veranda Theatre Co, Sarah is known for her dynamic presence and ability to shift seamlessly between comedy and drama. Recent theatre credits include Shadows from the Past, Spirits of Cooktown, and the touring production More Than Tea and Scones, in which she performed multiple roles. Her screen work includes short films such as Maverick, The Midnight Slot, and Do’s and Don’ts of Dating, as well as an appearance on True Story with Hamish and Andy. She has also worked behind the scenes in hair and makeup on productions including Joh: Last King of Queensland and The Black Hand.
Sarah’s connection to storytelling extends to the airwaves, having worked as a presenter and co-host on Radio 4CA and ABC Radio Far North, including creating and hosting her own program, Sarah’s Spot.
From Shakespeare to new Australian work, cabaret to radio, Sarah brings depth, humour, and precision to every performance. She continues to explore bold, collaborative projects that celebrate voice, character, and the lived human experience.
