Sarah Speller is an English-Australian character actor who grew up in the UK and moved to Australia in her late teens. Her work spans screen, theatre, radio and corporate productions, with standout roles in True Story with Hamish & Andy and multiple acclaimed short films.

Sarah Speller is an English, Australian character actor whose career spans film, television, theatre, radio, and corporate productions. Raised in the UK, she relocated to Australia in her late teens and has since built a diverse and enduring career within the Australian screen and performing arts industry.
On screen, Sarah is recognised for her distinctive character work and emotional nuance. She appeared as the snobby busybody Mrs. MacArthur in the comedy series True Story with Hamish & Andy, performing alongside Kat Stewart. Her short-film credits include the intimate two-hander Bus Stop, in which she portrayed Grace, a regretful grandmother opposite Aaron Fa’aoso. She also played a street-smart, open-hearted barmaid in Sapphire Pictures’ horror/sci-fi short Starspawn: Overture, headlined by Vernon Wells.
In addition to acting, Sarah is a highly experienced film-industry professional, having worked extensively in hair and make-up on Australian film and television productions. Her credits include The Thin Red Line (Phoenix Pictures), Paradise Road (Village Roadshow), Ocean Girl (Jonathan M. Shiff), Emmerdale (Australian-based production work), Rescue 911, 60 Minutes (Nine Network), The Black Hand, produced by Wildbear Entertainment and the recent STAN series Joh: Last King of Queensland, working with director Kriv Stenders and actor Richard Roxburgh.
Equally at home on set, treading the boards and behind the scenes, Sarah brings versatility, professionalism, and a deep understanding of the creative process of film and theatre making. A passion she lives for.
