Sarah Engelsmann

Actor, Singer, Dancer

Sarah is a Brisbane based singer, actor and dancer and violinist. With a Bachelor of Theatre from the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music (CQCM), Sarah has been involved in the staging of 28 productions, taking on roles both onstage and off.

  • Local audiences have seen Sarah as in April in Company (Phoenix Ensemble), Vera/Farrah in She Kills Monsters (Villanova Players), Princess in Love’s Labour’s Lost and Mira in the Theory of Relativity (both Footlights Theatrical) and Don D’Bauch in The Abadon Burlesque Show: Dance of the Dead (Abadon Productions).

Internationally, Sarah has been fortunate enough to perform in Malaysia as Florence Vassey in Chess: The Musical. This was part of a collaboration between CQCM and the Bentley Music Academy, bringing together performers and creatives from around the world.

Sarah was also involved with the Queensland Police as part of the Choices program for three years. This was a touring production that visited high schools in central and northern Queensland to educate Grade Twelve students about issues they may come across as young adults, including alcohol, drug use and peer pressure. Sarah considers performing in this show as some of her most rewarding work to date.
