Lucy Ingham-Myers is a creative that is focused on exploring adaptation within theatre, film, animation and literature. She is currently completing a dual degree in Law and Humanities at the University of Queensland as a recipient of the Ramsay Undergraduate Scholarship, with the intention of increasing her exposure to great works within the Western Cannon to inform her own storytelling ability. Her previous work includes creating short films centred around the works of Shakespeare, whether through direct adaptation of various monologues or by utilising iambic pentameter to craft her own story. While the current trajectory of her career is established around writing, directing and producing, she also has a background in production design, which influences her attention to rich visual detail within her projects. Lucy has also previously worked within animation, creating music and lyric videos for Australian artists such as Peach PRC and Peni Parker. These music videos have appeared in online articles both in Rolling Stone and Crunchyroll.

Jules Berry as Magistrate Hesther Salomon appears effortless. They manage to find this perfect balance between showing the power and responsibility that comes with a job that has seen countless evils and yet manages to maintain their humanity and empathy – and to truly want this young man to find peace.

York Klit (Jules Berry) as Romeo was another comedic highlight, as they fully leaned into the strong Aussie accent and puffed-up bravado. Their performance of Never Tear Us Apart while serenading Biron as Juliet was so earnestly funny it hurt. Not to mention York’s bedazzled beard was an absolute serve.
