Loretta Melit
Assistant Stage Manager
Currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Classical Voice) at the Queensland Conservatorium, Melit is a Meanjin based multifaceted artist. She works as a performer at Bluey’s World, and is working to expand her creative horizons. She has an extensive musical theatre background, and TVC art department and stage management experience.

Loretta Melit is an emerging artist in Meanjin, currently studying a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice at the Queensland Conservatorium. She also holds a Diploma of Musical Theatre from Queensland College of Dance (2021), and a Cert III in Dance (ADPI). Loretta works as a performer at Bluey’s World, and has a love for children’s entertainment. Melit’s recent musical theatre credits include Chorn in Firebringer with IQ Productions (2025), Mrs Corry in QMT’s Mary Poppins (2024), and is currently playing Belle/Rapunzel in Disenchanted with IQ Productions (2025).
Loretta also has experience on TVC film sets working as Art Director, and working closely with producers as production assistant. Notable shoots include her work with Ride Free Media for X Stay Sea, Ausbuild’s What Community Means to You campaign, and Unovino’s startup campaign shoot, as well as several Reformer Pilates shoots for FITLG.
Into the Woods is Loretta’s second production working with Ad Astra as Assistant Stage Manager. She previously worked (and studied) with Caitlin Scott (Merrily We Roll Along and Into The Woods Stage Manager) in QCD’s W.O.M.A.N, as performers and stage managers. Having worked closely with the Merrily We Roll Along (2024)team, and in particular with Caitlin Scott, Loretta is thrilled to expand her horizons as a creative, and behind the scenes.
