βJosh Whitten completes the entertaining and diverse trio of talented performers carrying this sincere storyline with a fantastic range being highlighted from his array of hilarious supporting character appearances. His primary role as Jonβs endearing and assertive best friend from childhood pushes the show from a cheeky and animated duet with McGovern about economic luxuries to a tenderly uncertain ballad on a routine drive to the airport where Jonβs enigmatic and preoccupied friend questions what βreal lifeβ truly is. Together Whitten and McGovern tackle both charming humour and horrendous pain as they carry the productionβs ode to music and creativity through the story of their enduring friendship.β
