Gemma Keliher is a Brisbane based actor and puppeteer. With a Bachelor of Acting from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, her training supports her diverse experiences as a performer across theatre and screen.

  • Gemma Keliher is a dedicated performer and storyteller with a diverse background across theatre and screen. Having earned a Bachelor of Acting from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Gemma has had the privilege of exploring a variety of roles on stage. She approaches each role with a strong actor’s process, working from a versatile skill base to create a grounded and honest performance.

    In 2025, Gemma showcased her diverse skills working as a puppeteer on ‘Fing!’, which will premiere at Sundance Film Festival in 2026, and Ludo Studio’s ‘Allen’, releasing globally on Netflix. Gemma’s dedication has earned her recognition, winning Best Female Actor at the Norfolk Island Theatre Festival 2024. She is also a Key Performer and puppeteer at the immersive experience Bluey's World. 

    In the world of theatre, Gemma has had the opportunity to portray characters like Klytemnestra, Doctor, Cilissa, and Fury in the impactful production of ‘Oresteia’. Other memorable roles include Helene in ‘Festen’, Rosalind in ‘As You Like It’, and Olga in ‘The Three Sisters’. She has been grateful to work under the direction of some of Brisbane’s revered creatives such as Claire Christian, Tim Hill, and Michael Futcher, and be guided by mentors such as Jacqui Somerville, Dr. Melissa Agnew, Dr. Elise Greig, Claire Christian, and Andrew Cory.

    Gemma approaches her artistic journey with drive and enthusiasm and remains committed to exploring projects that showcase complex women and detail the human condition.
