Ebony Wilken is no stranger to the theatre. She has grown up surrounded by actors, crew and been inside theatres across Australia.

  • Ebony has undertaken a number of roles in theatrical productions. She also has been Mental Health Support for 2.20am and The Normal Heart. Ebony was also Assistant Set Builder for The Realistic Joneses.

In her early years she attended Darlo Drama and would make sure that she was noticed by stealing the teacher, Glen Hamilton’s pencils and eating them.

This is Ebony’s first stage appearance in theatre and is playing the role of The Dog. She narrowly missed out on securing the role of the Policeman’s dog in Simmons & Newcombe, due to her being too nice!

  • The comic relief in the production comes from the Ensemble and their antics, from the stage manager to Ebony, the stage dog, and it brings a lighthearted and modern approach.

With more than 20 characters on stage at once – including the gorgeous Ebony as the Dog – it is a unique theatrical experience.

And, of course, Ebony’s stage time was all too fleeting!
