Tanake Utete

Actor

Tanaka relocated to Australia in 2016 where he has been involved in numerous community theatre productions including Ad Astra’s first production, ‘Female of the Species,’ in 2018 and Ad Astra’s Matilda award-winning ‘Of Mice and Men’ production in 2021.

Biography

Tanaka was raised in New Zealand where he completed his ATCL Diploma in Speech & Drama Performance and was selected to perform on Shakespeare’s Globe in London when he was 16 years old. When not treading the boards as a thespian, Tanaka performs as the frontman of indie rock band Stoneleigh whose debut EP “Wasted Potential” is available on most major streaming platforms.
