Carys Maguire

Biography

Carys Maguire (she/ they) is a freelance artist from Meanjin (Brisbane) who started their creative career through acting but has recently made the switch to stage management. Some of her notable stage-managing credits include student theatre company Vena Cava’s “Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again.”, and TheatrePUNKco’s “Pallas Sister Rising” by Grace Wilson. Carys also trained at the Australian Acting Academy for three years where they were a part of the extension program and took part in camps that taught her skills useful for not only theatre but for film, which is an industry she hopes to delve into one day. Carys is currently finishing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drama) at QUT where she is focusing on the many areas behind the scenes of making theatre.
