Michaela is an actor and theatre maker based in Meanjin. She has performed across theatre, film and voice over, and now jumping into production work after graduating from a Bachelor in Creative Industries (Acting and Performance).

Biography

Michaela Faux is a Brisbane based theatre maker passionate about all aspects of production, both on stage and behind the scenes. Graduating with a Bachelor in Creative Industries (Acting and Performance) from TAFE Queensland in partnership with the University of Canberra, Michaela has developed a wide range of performance skills that she uses to develop and perform original works and established scripts. She has trained under the direction of highly regarded Brisbane artists Lisa O’Neill, Anatoly Frusin, Rosalind Williams, Brian Lucas and Patrick Mitchell. Graduating with distinction, she proudly acted in the Australian premiere of celebrated playwright Caryl Churchill’s latest play, Glass. Kill. Bluebeard. Imp. where she played a diverse variety of characters. Michaela has worked as a theatre and film actor, voice over artist, singer, and director across a variety of projects and performance styles. With a background in musical theatre (Cert IV) and interest in vocal studies, Michaela uses her skills to create and integrate artistic mediums across acting, music, dance, and visual art to deliver dynamic storytelling. Recent credits include Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale (2022), Politeness: In the First Degree (2022), Bootcamp Royale 15 (2021), The Removalist (2019), and Legally Blonde: The Musical (2019).
