Biography
Jennifer Flowers is an award winning actor/director who has worked for all major theatre companies in Australia. She has also worked extensively with Creative Industry acting students at QUT and was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2005 which enabled her to observe world class teachers of voice and text in London and New York. She was an Associate of the Queensland Theatre Company for some years sat on the Boards of the QTC and TN! Theatre Company.

Jennifer Flowers’ direction was evident and outstanding. She never allowed the play’s heightened naturalism to escalate into melodrama or to descend and fall flat. Not an easy task with a play that bounces between the ordinary and the outrageous at such pace, but handled expertly by Flowers and her exceptional cast, all of whom were excellent.

Renowned local actor and director, Jennifer Flowers, is at the helm of this production and gives us an intelligent, well-thought through rendition, with its fast-paced action and brisk vocal rhythms. Flowers obtains excellent diction and timing from her cast, while drawing out the humour of the dialogue from the contrast between the considered contemporary norms of behaviour and the bizarre elements of the characters’ actual conduct.
