Jarvis Taylor

Actor

Jarvis Taylor is a writer, director and actor, best known for his comedic roles. He’s trained in multiple techniques with esteemed teachers such as Charles Allen, Rob Horton and Helen Howard. He hopes to keep plying his craft and help to create memorable stories.

Biography

Jarvis Taylor graduated from QUT with a bachelors in Film, TV and New Media in 2020. Despite his screen background, he has a great love for the theatre. At ad astra, his roles mostly consist of comedic, drug-addicted individuals but he assures us his range is much larger than that.

He’s a trained Meisner and Eric Morris actor with multiple short films, tv pilots and a web series under his belt. He’s also written and directed multiple short films as well as a tv pilot. All he wishes to do is to keep telling stories and to keep working with empathetic, open-minded, creative people.

Reviews

Speaking of ethereal high, Jarvis Taylor (Jayden) had me fully convinced that he was stoned. How do I know that he wasn’t stoned in real life? Well, if he was stoned that I can guarantee you that Taylor would not have been able to successfully stand in a straight line with the other actors at the curtain call. From every twitch, glare, subtle mannerism and emotional outburst, Taylor was brilliant and your eyes couldn’t help but focus on him in the group scenes, especially in the rehearsal dinner. A crowd favourite were the colourful lighting states and vibrant soundscapes that were used to illustrate the drugs taking their hold on Taylor’s characters.
