For the past 40 years David has worked as a professional Lighting Designer for opera, theatre, ballet, dance, puppetry, circus and major events.
Biography
Commencing his career as a freelance lighting designer in Iceland he returned to Australia to take up a position as Resident Lighting Designer with the Queensland Theatre Company. He has worked extensively throughout Australia designing for all major theatre companies as well as the Australian Ballet and Opera Australia. He has lectured in lighting design and is an Adjunct Associate Professor in Drama at the Queensland University of Technology. His lighting has received numerous awards and in 2018 he was a recipient of an ABF Queensland Lifetime Achievement Award.
