Chad Terry

Chad Terry

Actor

Chad Terry is a Brisbane based actor who has experience in a wide range of roles, be it drama or comedy. As someone who has directed and acted, he has a strong understanding of theatre no matter if he is backstage, or onstage

Biography

Chad’s journey to becoming an actor started in high school, where he found his love for the stage. With the encouragement of Ad Astra’s very own Michelle Carey and Kirsty Pickering, he pursued his love for Drama past high school and into university, where he found himself involved in the Vanguard Theatre Festival as a major actor in Ruby Moon and The Bald Soprano. His zest for life, coupled with his positive experiences in university drama, pushed him to seek out more professional acting, where he found an opportunity with Ad Astra’s The Laramie Project.

Now, he seeks more opportunities to explore the Brisbane acting scene and is excited to work with more of the incredibly talented and versatile actors that Brisbane has to offer. He has experience performing a wide variety of genres, from dark comedy, commedia dell’arte, and drama. He has worked closely with many of Brisbane’s creatives before, including Ad Astra’s very own Christopher Nguyen; they are an acting duo who found their beginnings in improvisational comedic competitions.

Ultimately, Chad adores exploring character and diving into any narratives which will allow him to bring engaging stories to life for audience members no matter where that audience may be!
